Weingut Gunther Steinmetz farms steep slate slopes above the village of Wintrich on the Mosel, and this Riesling is a clear snapshot of that terroir. The slate soils push through in a mineral, almost flinty backbone, while the grape's natural vivacity brings racy acidity and bright notes of green apple, lime, and white peach.
