From the importer: "100% Pinot Noir from southern vines near Limoux on clay-limestone rich soils. Aged in fiberglass cuve. Glowy fruit and highly lifted aromatics. This Pinot is all hand destemmed fruit, with 21 days of maceration including regular punchdowns. With that in mind it’s anything but extracted and sits on the lighter side of the Pinot spectrum, showing floral delicacy and a luminous tone to its fruit. Bright red at its core with flowers and a touch of herbs. There’s a long and persistent mineral edge to the wine that amplifies the acidity and is drawn out on the palate. Expressive and wholly charming, it's another wonderful example of the freshness and detail that is apparent in everything Jean-Louis makes."
