Théo Dancer is the son of Chassagne-Montrachet icon Vincent Dancer and one of the most exciting young vignerons in Burgundy who has attracted serious attention for his precise, low-intervention approach to wines across the Côte de Beaune and beyond. Roc Breia is his Bourgogne Rouge: a regional-appellation Pinot Noir that carries the Dancer philosophy into a more accessible format without compromising on what makes the domaine worth paying attention to.

Bourgogne Rouge is Burgundy’s entry-level red appellation, but in the hands of a serious producer it can be one of the best-value expressions of Pinot Noir in the world — and Dancer’s version makes that case convincingly. The 2024 vintage brought bright, natural acidity and a freshness that gives the wine real energy and lift: this is not a heavy or over-extracted Pinot, but a wine of genuine Burgundian character — light in colour and body, with a fragrant, red-fruited nose of cherry and raspberry, a fine, silky texture, and the kind of savoury, earthy finish that sets great Pinot Noir apart from everything else.
