Planella is made of 50% Carignan and 50% Grenache from 15-50 year old vines grown in the sandy calcareous soils of Finca Planella vineyard’s north-facing slopes.
Concrete fermentation followed by 12 months of aging in old oak barrels.
Lots of garrigue, brightness and fluidity. The florality of Grenache balances the earthiness of Carignan so well. Try it with roasted duck or butternut squash.
