Planella is a 50/50 blend of Carignan and Grenache sourced from 15–50 year old vines grown in the sandy calcareous soils of Finca Planella's north-facing slopes in Montsant, Spain.
Concrete fermentation followed by 12 months of aging in old oak barrels yields a wine of real character — layers of garrigue, wild herbs, and bright red fruit, with the florality of Grenache beautifully balancing the earthy grip of Carignan. Fluid, expressive, and built for the table.
Pair with roasted duck, butternut squash, lamb chops, or a well-aged Manchego.
