Muscat Maceration '23

Pierre Frick has been farming biodynamically in Alsace since the 1970s, long before it was fashionable, and this skin-contact Muscat is a clear expression of that work. The Muscat à Petits Grains spends extended time macerating on its skins, pulling color, texture, and a savory grip that a conventional white would never show.

The result is a textured, amber-hued orange wine with the grape's signature lift of lychee and orange blossom, framed by a saline, tannic edge from the skin contact. Pour it slightly cool alongside washed-rind cheeses, charcuterie, or anything with a little spice — the wine's texture and aromatics can stand up to bold flavors.
