Brutal!!! Blanc '23
Terret Bourret, Mauzac, Grenache Gris, Muscat | Languedoc, France
- Notes
La Sorga is the project of Antony Tortul, one of the Languedoc's most prolific and inventive natural winemakers — a former sommelier who has dedicated himself to making wines that express the extraordinary diversity of indigenous varieties in southern France. Brutal Blanc is part of the DO Brutal range, a collaborative natural wine label that celebrates minimal intervention and maximum transparency, and it's one of the most interesting whites in the La Sorga lineup.
A blend of Terret Bourret, Mauzac, Grenache Gris, and Muscat Petit Grain — four varieties that tell the story of the Languedoc's viticultural heritage — this is a white of genuine aromatic complexity and freshness. Terret Bourret brings structure and salinity; Mauzac adds a distinctive apple and quince character; Grenache Gris contributes body and warmth; and Muscat Petit Grain lifts the whole with floral, citrus aromatics. At 11% ABV it's light, precise, and endlessly drinkable. Pair it with grilled fish, oysters, fresh goat's cheese, or a simple summer table. Serve well chilled.
