La Clastre '24

Charles and Guillaume, two brothers, have been farming this winery since 2015 near the village of Saint Hilaire d’Ozilhan. They work with classic Rhone varieties like Syrah/Grenache, but also have planted some historic old varieties and work with a nothing added - nothing taken away mentality to winemaking. 

This is a direct press Syrah, that is kind of A Blanc De Noir, but pours kinda like a Tavel rose? It's so hard to describe the experimental and wonderful wines coming out of this area. It's delicate, peppery, herbal, spicy, but light on its feet with notes of strawberry and raspberry. This dry Syrah is something you have to try.
