Kawasemi Indian Lager

Godspeed Brewery is one of Toronto’s most distinctive craft breweries, known for its Japanese-inspired aesthetic and its commitment to clean, precise lager brewing. Kawasemi — Japanese for “kingfisher” — is their love letter to the classic Indian lager style, brewed in collaboration with Kalyanasundaram “Kaly” Kalimuthu of Great Lakes Brewing.

Inspired by Kingfisher Lager, Kawasemi is crisp, clean, and refreshing — a well-attenuated lager with a light malt body, gentle bitterness, and the kind of easy drinkability that makes it the perfect companion for spiced food, a summer patio, or a cheese board that needs something cold and uncomplicated alongside it.
