Hopla! Alsatian Pils

Godspeed Brewery is one of Toronto’s most distinctive craft breweries, known for its Japanese-inspired aesthetic and its commitment to clean, precise lager brewing. Hopla! is their Alsatian-style pilsner — inspired by the hop-forward, herbal lagers of Alsace, the French region bordering Germany that has long produced some of Europe’s finest pilsner-style beers.

Crisp and well-attenuated, with a pronounced hop character that is floral, herbal, and gently spicy — the hallmark of Alsatian hops like Strisselspalt. Light in body, dry in finish, and refreshing in the way that only a well-made pils can be. At 4.8% ABV and 355 ml, it’s the kind of beer that belongs on a patio, alongside a cheese board, or simply in your hand at the end of a long day.
