Gorgonzola Dolce is the mild, sweet version of this iconic blue cheese from Northern Italy. For the stronger, more pungent version look for Gorgonzola Picante
The cheese has been produced since the 11th century and is among the oldest cheeses in Italy. It is very versatile and works exceptionally well in blue cheese dressing, on pizzas, in pasta or eaten alongside a glass of Champagne or a full bodied red.
