Gentle Folk is one of the most quietly celebrated natural wine producers in Australia — a small project run by Gareth Belton in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, a cool-climate region whose elevation, maritime influence, and diverse soils have made it one of the country's most exciting addresses for elegant, fine-boned wine. Gareth farms organically and biodynamically, works with minimal intervention in the cellar, and produces wines of genuine delicacy, precision, and personality — wines that feel more European than Australian in their restraint and sense of place.

Rainbow Juice is the wine that put Gentle Folk on the map and remains their most joyful and expressive release: a natural rosé blend of Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, Sangiovese, and Sauvignon Blanc — an eclectic and inspired combination that produces something far more interesting than any one of those varieties could deliver alone. The aromatic varieties — Gewurztraminer and Pinot Gris — bring rose petal, lychee, and spice; Sangiovese adds the cherry fruit and tannic grip of a red variety used for rosé; and Sauvignon Blanc contributes brightness, citrus, and a herbaceous energy that keeps the whole wine lively and fresh.
