Chelbesa Ethiopia

This is their coffee from Chelbesa — one of the most celebrated washing stations in the Gedeo Zone of southern Ethiopia, in the heart of the Yirgacheffe region that has defined what Ethiopian coffee can be.

Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee, and the Gedeo Zone is where its finest expressions are found: high-altitude farms, ancient heirloom varieties, and a terroir of extraordinary complexity. Chelbesa washing station is known for producing coffees of exceptional clarity and floral intensity — jasmine, bergamot, stone fruit, and a delicate, tea-like quality that is the hallmark of great Yirgacheffe. Clean, luminous, and deeply aromatic, this is Ethiopian coffee at its most expressive. Best brewed as filter to fully appreciate the floral complexity of the cup.
