Quebraditas Sidra

Botany Rd is a Toronto-based specialty coffee roaster with a focus on exceptional single-origin coffees roasted with precision and care. This is their Sidra from Finca Quebraditas in Colombia — a rare and highly sought-after hybrid variety that has become one of the most exciting names in specialty coffee.

Sidra is a natural cross between Red Bourbon and Typica, two of the most celebrated heirloom coffee varieties, first identified in Ecuador and now grown by a small number of producers in Colombia’s finest growing regions. It is prized for its extraordinary sweetness, its complex layered fruit character, and a depth and clarity that sets it apart from more common varieties. Grown at high altitude at Finca Quebraditas, where the cool temperatures and rich volcanic soils slow the cherry’s development and concentrate its flavours to their fullest expression.

Best brewed as filter — pour-over, Chemex, or Aeropress — to fully appreciate the sweetness and complexity of the cup.
