Tignanello '23

Ripe cherry, pomegranate and orange meet delicate violet and hibiscus in Antinori’s Tignanello 2023. Cocoa, sweet spice and a pencil-lead note bring depth, while the palate is juicy and generous, with silky, supple tannins and a long, savoury finish of blood orange and roasted hazelnut.

Produced exclusively from its namesake vineyard at Tenuta Tignanello in the heart of Tuscany’s Chianti Classico area, this Toscana IGT red is led by Sangiovese, with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The limestone-rich hillside is the birthplace of a wine that helped reshape Italian winemaking: Tignanello pioneered Sangiovese aged in small oak barrels and the use of Cabernet in a modern Tuscan blend.

The 2023 vintage spent 13 months in predominantly new French oak barrels, with a small proportion of Hungarian oak, followed by a further 12 months in bottle before release.
