Mostly Sauvignon Blanc with a splash of Chardonnay, L & C & S from Loire Valley winemaker Laurent Saillard is wonderfully textured, with a crisp mineral core. It pulls off that lovely balancing act: rich, layered fruit and bright minerality in the same sip. Generous without losing its energy, and deliciously hard to put down. A perfect wine? You tell us.

Bring it to the table with roast chicken and tarragon, pan-fried fish with lemon butter, or a leek and goat cheese tart. On the cheese board, try young chèvre for a fresh contrast or a creamy Brie to play alongside the wine’s texture. Serve chilled in a white-wine glass, then let it warm a little as you eat so there’s room for those layers to unfold.
