Cartagene '23

Charles and Guillaume, two brothers, have been farming this winery since 2015 near the village of Saint Hilaire d’Ozilhan. They work with classic Rhone varieties like Grenache, but also have planted some historic old varieties and work with a nothing added - nothing taken away mentality to winemaking. 

This “wine” is really unique. It is a sweet wine, but unlike anything else I’ve had before. It is basically blanc de noir Grenache (white wine made from red grapes!) that they ferment halfway & then mix with their own brandy. It is a natural wine version of fortified wine. This is what you wanna have with the cheese course at the end of a meal.
