Bodegas Albizu is a Rioja producer with deep roots in the region, and Caminante — "the traveller" — is their everyday red: a pure, unoaked expression of Tempranillo, Rioja's most celebrated red grape, made for drinking with pleasure and without ceremony. No oak, no waiting, no occasion required.

Unoaked Tempranillo is a different animal from the barrel-aged Reservas and Gran Reservas that define Rioja's reputation — lighter in colour, fresher in character, and built for immediate enjoyment rather than the cellar. Expect bright cherry and red berry fruit, a hint of dried herbs, and a soft, approachable texture with just enough structure to make it interesting.

 Pair it with tapas, grilled lamb chops, roast chicken, manchego, or anything from the Spanish table. Serve at a light chill for maximum freshness.
