Les Deux Sources '23

Racines Rebelles — Rebel Roots — is a small natural producer based in Luxembourg, one of Europe's most overlooked wine regions and one that is quietly producing some of the continent's most interesting natural wines. Les Deux Sources, "The Two Springs," is a skin-contact white made from Pinot Blanc and Elbling — two varieties that tell the story of Luxembourg's wine culture. Pinot Blanc is the region's workhorse white; Elbling is something rarer, an ancient Roman-era variety that has been grown along the Moselle since antiquity and survives today almost exclusively in Luxembourg and the German Mosel.

The skin contact gives the wine its amber hue and textural depth — expect dried stone fruit, orange peel, chamomile, and a saline, mineral quality on the nose, with a grippy, structured palate and a long, dry finish. It's light and precise, with the kind of freshness that comes from cool-climate viticulture and minimal intervention. Serve slightly cool with a little air.
