Pollastrini di Anzio has been packing fish on the Lazio coast south of Rome since 1889 — one of Italy's oldest and most respected conservas producers, with over a century of expertise in selecting and preserving the finest fish from the Tyrrhenian and Adriatic seas. Their vintage sardines are among the most serious tins they produce: sardines caught at the peak of their summer season, packed in extra virgin olive oil, and dated by year — a practice that treats tinned fish with the same respect given to great wine.
