Ca’ de Medici is a historic estate in Reggio Emilia — one of the great Lambrusco-producing provinces of Emilia-Romagna — with a long tradition of making wines that express the full character of the region’s indigenous grapes. Remigio 100 is their 100% Lambrusco Grasparossa: named for the grape’s distinctive red-leaved vines, Grasparossa is the darkest, most tannic, and most structured of the Lambrusco family, grown on the impervious, hilly terrain south of Reggio Emilia where the terroir pushes the grape to its most expressive.
Deep ruby in colour, with a bouquet of ripe red fruit on the nose. On the palate it is wilder and more structured than the typical Lambrusco from the plains — darker fruit, firmer tannins, and a frankness that is well balanced by a good freshness and a particularly persistent, clean finish. The Lambrusco for those who want more grip, more depth, and more character. Exceptional with rich ragù, aged Parmigiano, charcuterie, or anything that can stand up to a wine with genuine backbone.
