Orange wine? White wine?
Irreverence is essentially a blend of orange wine and white wine from Pearl Morissette in Niagara. 51% of this wine is Chardonnay, 19% is blanc de noir Pinot Noir from a abandoned sparkling wine project. The rest of the wine (26% Viognier, 4% Riesling) is a mix of regular white wine and a percentage which was aged 6 months on its skins in Qveri.
These oddball numbers all add up to a beautiful slightly orange wine with subtle tannins and notes of red apples, honey, jasmine and apricot.
Pearl Morissette are making some of the best orange (or white) wines in Canada ( & also the world).
