Saint Agur
Soft, Blue | Pasteurized Cow's Milk | France
- Notes
The Blue Cheese That Converts Non-Believers.
If you think you don't like blue cheese, Saint Agur might just change your mind. Made since 1988 by the Bongrain Cheese Company in the village of Beauzac, nestled in the volcanic mountains of Auvergne, France, this double-cream blue is in a category of its own — lush, velvety, and far more approachable than most blues.
The double-cream process gives it an extraordinary richness that softens the blue's intensity, making it deeply flavourful without being overwhelming. The result is a blue cheese that's as at home on a cheese board as it is stirred into a sauce or spread on a warm baguette.
Tasting Notes
- 🧀 Texture: Exceptionally creamy and spreadable — almost mousse-like
- 🌿 Aroma: Rich and earthy with classic blue character
