- Notes
This wine-based aperitif (Mistelle) is made using using a 1865 recipe from a French Monk, Brother Raphael Bonal, who the drink is now named after. Produced by French vermouth masters Dolin, the recipe has not changed from that originally conceived by Brother Bonal, and features Gentian root, Cinchona, and orange peel. Spicy and earthy this complex sipper is great neat with some ice, or topped off with a dry French cider or sparkling wine. Also works a treat in a Scotch or Whisky cocktail.
