Krakhuna | Obcha, Georgia
- Notes
Georgia is one of the countries that really gave rise and prominence to skin-contact and orange wines. This historic style is carried out by Baia Abuladze in the region of Imereti. The grape used here is an indigenous variety (Krakhuna) which brings us a wine that tastes like almonds, honeycomb, mountain herbs and baking spices such as clove.
The region has a history of producing simple table wines and Baia is really pushing for quality and pushing the region forward. This is a women-led winery to watch working with traditional clay amphora, seriously delicious wines.
30% of the wine undergoes 3 months of skin-contact for a wonderful balance of texture and fresh vibrancy.
750ml | 12.5% ABV
