Andrew and Emma Nielsen work out of Beaune in Burgundy, making great wines from near their cellar, Macon and Beaujolais. We even drank a great bottle of their Rhone Grenache down the street at Wynona recently.
Their Chardonnay is from a sunny site in the Macon and has some great passionfruit notes alongside pear, apple and brown butter. Ripe and crowd-pleasing. The limestone soils of the site keep it tight with freshness and minerality.
