Rainwater Reserva Madeira 5 Year Old

Madeira is an island off the North West coast of Africa which is known for its Portugeuse history of winemaking. These wines are fortified and aged in large oak barrels where temps can hit 30 degrees+!

The term Rainwater is an old historic term that comes from a legend that Madeira got left out in the rain and was slightly dilluted. The watered down Madeira was more vibrant, drinkable and tasty. Nowadays Rainwater essentially just means "Medium Dry" and is an excellent entry point to trying Madeira.

The wine has a light gold colour and tastes like dried fruits, orange blossoms and preserved fruit. Full-bodied, round and smooth. There is an unexpected and pleasurable refreshing finish here, perfect with some Stilton!
