Grand Cras Morgon '23

From the sun-drenched granite slopes of Morgon — one of Beaujolais' ten celebrated crus — Grand Cras is a wine that quietly defies expectations. Domaine de la Bonne Tonne farms biodynamically, coaxing from old-vine Gamay a depth and structure rarely associated with the appellation.

In the glass, it's a vivid ruby with violet edges. The nose opens with ripe black cherry, crushed stone, and a whisper of violet. On the palate, it's generous yet precise — dark fruit layered over earthy minerality, with silky tannins and a long, savoury finish that lingers well past the last sip.
